CALIFORNIA AND SOTOGRANDE/COSTA DEL SOL: OR WHY NOT SHARE THE BEST OF THE SAME.
30/07/2009 :: Filled in California, International Property Consultants, United States
Spain’s Costa del Sol – the Mediterranean part of Andalusia – is often referred to as the California of Europe, with the glamorous Marbella often compared to Los Angeles and the resort of Sotogrande to Beverly Hills.
Another major link between these two luxury destinies of the world is their golf courses. Sotogrande’s Valderrama continuously ranks as the number one golf course in Europe and Golf Digest ranked for example Pebble Beach in California as the 2005 number one golf course in America.
Both the Costa del Sol and California also offer activities for sun and snow lovers alike with vast, high-altitude mountain ranges and seemingly endless coastlines and beaches.
With all these similarities, it will probably not surprise you that most people who like California also like the Costa del Sol and vice versa.
But apart from these most attractive reasons, I have a very personal link too with California. Because what to say about my daughter, who grew up and went to school in Sotogrande, having graduated in Reno-southern Nevada and married American, living and working now for various years already in northern California?
It will therefore probably also not surprise you that we offer you housing and investment services in both parts of the world…trying to make sure that, those who want to relocate or would like to combine the best of both worlds, will not loose time and can concentrate on more important things: like playing that number one golf course at their doorstep!
