There is no doubt: the world is in crisis. All the specialists have their own vision and solution.
But who really knows? The solutions and necessary changes for sure will need their own time. And meanwhile we walk around asking ourselves: are we doing the right thing? Is it okay to buy a property now? Or shall we still wait? And are the prices of the houses finally realistic or still inflated?
I have been active in real estate in Sotogrande for more than twenty years now. I have seen it during the crisis of the nineties and I see it again: Sotogrande is a resort that will always distinguish itself, also in moments of crisis. One cannot simply compare Sotogrande with the other developments at the Costa del Sol. I have told this many people and I keep on explaining it. Especially when I get requests to search for “auctions” and/or to put offers for prices that perhaps outside Sotogrande would be accepted, but here most of the time will be rejected. Of course I do not exclude some individual cases, but the good thing of Sotogrande is that it did show already during another crisis how to maintain its differences and high qualities.
Therefore, if you are interested in a property in Sotogrande, it is important to be aware of these facts and accept that Sotogrande is, and will always be different.
